The Program for
Human-Computer Interaction & Visualization (HCIV)
|
|
In 2006, we have launched a new major program in Human Computer Interaction and Visualization (HCIV). The aim of this initiative is to establish a study and research program that will combine the knowledge of both the science and the practice in the fields of Human Computer Interaction and Visualization.
One of the program’s major aims is the organization of an annual workshop with world-renowned experts in the fields of Human Computer Interaction and Visualization.
We want to invite you to attend our
6TH HCIV WORKSHOP 2010
“HCIV Challenges in the Software Engineering Domain”
March 1st, 2010, Kaiserslautern, Germany
IN COOPERATION WITH
DFG's International Research Training Group (IRTG)
"
Visualization of Large and Unstructured Data Sets"

BMBF's Research Project "VIERforES"

Continuing the HCIV workshop series, in 2010 the HCIV workshop will continue the successful 2009 workshop on the value of HCI and Visualization for Software Engineering. The workshop addresses an application domain that due to the vastly increasing complexity of today's software systems is becoming more and more important. In the workshop we will address current user-oriented application problems in Software Engineering and will discuss, how these problems can be tackled using HCIV methodologies.
For this purpose we will bring together experts from both research fields:
- Dr. Ken Boff (Georgia Tech, USA)
- Dr. Jeff Bradshaw (Florida IMCS, USA)
- Prof. Raimund Dachselt (University of Magdeburg, Germany)
- Prof. Peter Dannenmann (University of Applied Sciences Rhein-Main, Germany)
- Dr. Nahum Gershon (MITRE Corp., USA)
- Prof. Andreas Kerren (Linnaeus University, Sweden)
- Dr. Azam Khan (Autodesk Research, Canada)
- Prof. Annelise Pejtersen (Center of Cognitive Systems Engineering, Denmark)
- Prof. Margit Pohl (Vienna University, Austria)
- Prof. Giuseppe Santucci (Universita degli Studi di Roma, Italy)
- Prof. Gerrit van der Veer (Open University, Netherlands)
- Dr. Kai Willenborg (SAP, Germany)
The whole setting will ensure fruitful discussions both on novel HCIV technologies and on their applicability in the Software Engineering domain in practice.
The workshop has been accepted as an official IFIP event. It will be held at the Fraunhofer IESE, Fraunhofer-Platz 1, 67663 Kaiserslautern.
