The aim of the wokshop is both to foster the growth of an international community interested in the relationship between human-computer interaction and visualization, and also to feed into a research and development agenda for this area.

Those interested in participating at the workshop should submit an extended abstract (1-2 pages) for a position paper (please send the abstracts in PDF format to interact09<AT>hciv.de - please replace <AT> by @).
The workshop will be a full-day workshop at the INTERACT 2009 conference (Link: INTERACT website).

Date of the workshop: August 24 2009

All workshop participants also need to register for the main conference
According to the information available on the web site already from the start, in addition to the workshop fees, workshop attendees are required to register for the INTERACT conference. There has been some questions in relation to this but let us just clarify that the workshops are a part of the INTERACT conference and not separate events and therefore participation in the workshops also requires you to register for the main conference. This follows the INTERACT tradition and it is not possible to change this now. All comments on this process will be forwarded to the organizers of INTERACT 2011.
